Voting procedures

 

ADMISSION TO SECOND ROUND

At the second round are allowed twenty (20) candidates maximum.

Each member of the Jury shall vote YES or NO. The candidates who obtain the largest number of YES will be admitted to the next round.

In the event that the last group of candidates with the same number of YES (for example 5 YES) would lead to a too high number of admissions, there will be a new vote only for this group to obtain the desired number of admissions to the second round.

 

ADMISSION TO SEMIFINAL ROUND

At the semifinal round are allowed six (6) candidates maximum.

Each member of the Jury shall vote YES or NO. The candidates who obtain the largest number of YES will be admitted to the next round. In the event that the last group of candidates with the same number of YES (for example 5 YES) would lead to a too high number of admissions, there will be a new vote only for this group to obtain the desired number of admissions to the semifinal round.

 

ADMISSION TO FINAL ROUND

Three (3) competitors will be admitted to the final round of the Piano Competition.

Each member of the Jury will express his note through numbers from 60 to 100.

The first three competitors graduated in the first noting places will pass to the final round.

 

If selecting the three finalists will result more candidates with the same score, the Jury will judge the competitor by choosing between YES or NO written on a specific paper which will be collected by the Secretary of the Jury until the number of three will be reached.

 

GRADUATING FINAL LIST

Graduating final list of the Viotti Piano Competition.

Each member of the Jury will express his note through numbers from 60 to 100.

 

In order to get the first prize it is necessary to reach a medium note of 90

In order to get the second prize it is necessary to reach a medium note of 85

In order to get the third prize it is necessary to reach a medium note of 80

The President of the Jury may add, if he feels up to 15 cents for each candidate.

 

The President of the Organizing Committee may eventually replace before or during the competition one or more members of the jury that, in his opinion, do not behave according to the norms of fairness.
