Alessandro Ferrari was born in Milan (1962). He pursued his musical studies at the Milan State Conservatory, where he majored in violin with O. Scilla, piano with A. Porrini, and composition with Giacomo Manzoni. Early in his career he distinguished himself as a violin soloist, performing concertos of Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, Prokofiev and Stravinsky. At the age of 21, he joined the first violins of the orchestra of La Scala Theatre Orchestra and the Scala Philharmonic, performing as “rank,” “tutti,” and occasionally as concertmaster. This was the beginning of a long and fruitful association with the renowned La Scala Theatre, which continues to-date.
In the 2010 spring, it was born a good collaboration about rehearsals before the concerts with Filarmonica della Scala Orchestra.
Furthers performances with Filarmonica della Scala and young boys and School Projects on next March.
Very important 2011 collaborations with TOHO GAKUEN SCHOOL OF MUSIC (Japan) and Italian music like Rossini, Verdi, Puccini, Respighi. Ferrari will comeback in Japan in the 2014. Major important is the collaboration with M° Valery Gergiev during the 2011 spring. Rehearsals with singers, choir and the Scala orchestra with opera Turandot of Puccini.
The Scala organization gave to him like conductor JEWELS, ballet of Balanchine. Three performances in Teatro alla Scala and more to abroad (Polonia..).
In December 2011 he was the principal conductor for “Midnight’s summer dream” ballet in Moscow, Bolshoi Theatre.
There was a great success and it is born an important collaboration with La Scala Ballet. Next July Ferrari will be in Brasile with that company.
