ARTUR SADLON

Artur Sadlon, born in Kowary, Poland, in 1992, began his musical journey singing in a university choir in Cracow while studying engineering. After graduating in mechatronics, he started vocal studies at the Poznań Academy of Music in Marek Możdżierz’s class, and he also studied in Livorno and Palermo, Italy. His repertoire includes arias and ensembles from works by Donizetti, Verdi, Puccini, and Mozart, as well as tenor parts in sacred works. In 2024, he sang Rodolfo in La bohème and Puccini’s Messa di Gloria in Rome.

The program outlines a stylistic journey that spans Italian bel canto and concludes with Verismo and Romanticism. The first round combines two arias of great lyricism: Nemorino’s famous aria from L’elisir d’amore, a song of great delicacy and hope, and Federico’s aria from L’Arlesiana, “È la solita storia del pastore,” where the character gives in to poignant nostalgia, recalling the story of a shepherd in love with an unattainable girl. The semi-final offers a contrast between dramatic bel canto and heroism: Tebaldo’s aria from I Capuleti e i Montecchi, where the character sings of his fury and desire for revenge, and Cavaradossi’s famous aria from Tosca, “Recondita armonia,” an expression of love and idealism that reveals his soul as an artist.
