DAISY MYUNGWEON LEE

 

Born in South Korea, violinist Daisy Myung Weon Lee is currently studying at the Juilliard School under Ronald Copes, after graduation from the Berlin University of the Arts, where she studied under Nora Chastain. She has recently participated in international competitions, The first prize winner in the Milan International violin competition , France Music competition, Finalist of the Ysaye international violin competition, Prix de L‘association prize in the Marie Cantagrill international violin competition. She is a laureate of numerous competitions in Korea such as the Korea Children’s Daily Music Competition, Yewon music competition. She is also a recipent of Fima Fidelman Scholarship and M.&E. Cohen Scholarship at Juilliard. She has performed as a soloist ,chamber musician including Alice Tully Hall, Benediktiner Kloster Ettal, Busan Maru International Music Festival Gala concert under conductor Charles Olivieri-Munroe, Joseph Joachim Konzertsaal, The Kennedy Center, KonzertSaal Hardenbergstraße, Liège Royal Philharmonic hall, Lotte Concert Hall, The Morse Hall, The Philharmonie Berlin , Scholss Hohenprießnitz.
