JAEWON WEE

 

Jaewon Wee recently won First Prize and three Special Prizes at the Mirecourt 2023 International Violin Competition. He won First Prize and Audience Prize at the YSAYE International Violin Competition and the Washington International Violin Competition. In 2021, she won Second Prize and the iPalpiti Special Prize at the George Enescu International Competition, where she performed at the Romanian Athenaeum. As the winner of the 2019 Juilliard Violin Concerto Competition, she made her New York City debut at Lincoln Center. Jaewon has appeared as a soloist with the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Palermo Festival Symphony Orchestra, and the Korean Radio Television Symphony Orchestra. She graduated from Juilliard and NEC and is currently pursuing an artist’s degree at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, studying with Cho-liang Lin.
