MARIA ARSIENI

 

Born in Valduggia (VC), Maria Arsieni studied at the G.B. Viotti Academy of Singing, completing her training with Rosetta Noli and Zita Fumagalli. She established herself as a lyric soprano from the 1970s through the early 1980s. Following the passing of her husband, Joseph Robbone, founder of the Viotti Competition, she took over the leadership of the Società del Quartetto. She served as a jury member for the Viotti Singing Competition in 1985 and 1993. In 1993, she was awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
