MISAKI TANAKA

 

Misaki Tanaka began playing the violin at the age of 4 with Hisako Hashimoto. At the age of 12, she began studying with Takako Nishizaki and performed in many charity concerts. After graduating from Kyoto Municipal Kyoto Horikawa Senior High School of Music, she began studying at Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno with Pavel Wallinger. During her study, she was selected to study at Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien with Prof. Michael Frischenschlager. In 2022, she was admitted to the Stauffer Academy in Cremona in the class of Maestro Salvatore Accardo. In 2023, she was admitted to Conservatorium Maastricht in the class of Prof. Yuzuko Horigome. From 2024 she is a member of orchestral academy Prague Philharminia. Now she is studying at Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno with Pavel Wallinger. Misaki is a Semi-finalist at Carl Flesh Violin Competition in Hungary in 2018 and International Violin Competition in Bratislava in 2022. She has got Grand Prix at International violin competition “Prime Violin” 2021, 1st prize at International Vivaldi Music Competition 2022, 3rd prize at Caneres International music competition Vienna and International MOZART Competition Vienna in 2022, 2nd prize at Musica Goritiensis, Citta di Cervignano, and International Pu?awy & Violin Competition in 2023, 1st prize at Concorso Musicale Citta di Filadelfia in 2023, Concorso Internazionale di Esecuzione Musicale “Citta di Penne” and 33rd Young Musician International Competition “Citta di Barletta” in 2023. She has also got “Gabriella Cipriani” Prize at 33rd Young Musician International Competition “Citta di Barletta”, which is given for the best violinist of the competition. As a soloist, Misaki has performed with orchestras including Janacek Academy Orchestra (Czech Republic), State opera of Banska Bystrica (Slovakia), Capella Istropolitana (Slovakia), and Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc (Czech Republic), L’Orchestra Sinfonica del Conservatorio Luisa D’Annunzio di Pescara (Italy). She participated in masterclasses with professors: Prof. Michael Frischenschlager, Prof. Stefan Milenkovich, Prof. Boris Kuschnir, Prof. Ingolf Turban, Maestro Salvatore Accardo Josef Špa?ek, Prof. Krzysztof Wegrzyn, and Prof. Yuzuko Horigome.
