Born in Conegliano in 1998, Alessandro Villalva, began studying the piano at the age of 5. Pupil of prof. Siavush Gadjiev, the famous Russian pianist and teacher, at the “Slovenian Center of Musical Education E. Komel” in Gorizia, in 2013 he completed his pre-academic studies at the B. Maderna Conservatory in Cesena with full marks and honors. From an early age he began to face music competitions in Italy and abroad, winning the first absolute prizes of the category, including: European Competition “City of Moncalieri”, Turin (president of the Jury M° Marcella Crudeli); IX International Competition “N. Rubinstein” in Paris (president of the Jury M° Igor Lazko); VIII International Competition “City of Gorizia” (president of the Jury M° Pavel Gililov); VIII National Competition “City of Riccione” (president of the Jury M° Leonid Margarius). In March 2010 he won the “Rachmaninov Prize” at the “Rachmaninov Wettbewerb” International Competition in Frankfurt, Germany (president of the Jury M ° Grigory Gruzman); in November 2011 he became the 2nd Prize Winner and won the special prize for the performance of the piece by J.S. Bach at the prestigious International Piano Competition in Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic. In June 2011 he became the absolute winner of the 1st International Piano Talents Competition in Milan (president of the Jury M° Vincenzo Balzani) and was awarded the “Piano Prize Talents 2011 “. In 2016 he won the 1st prize at the 8th International Competition of Musical Execution “Young Musicians” – City of Treviso (president of the Jury M° Robert Benz) in category G. He is finalist and semifinalist of prestigious international competitions in recent years, such as Eastman Young Artists International Piano Competition in Rochester, NY (United States of America), Brescia Classica International Piano Competition, “Juries in Competition” International Piano Competition, Salzburg (Austria), “Wandering Music Stars” International Piano Competition, Tel-Aviv (Israel). He took lessons and participated to masterclass of great pianists like J. Rouvier, N. Trull and P. Gililov. He performed on the prestigious stages of Europe and United States, has been invited to perform at prestigious musical events (Lucca Classica Music Festival, for example) and has held solo recitals in theaters in Slovenia, Tuscany, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto. Since 2017 he has been studying at the “Mozarteum” University of Salzburg with prof. Pietro De Maria.
