Bio

Jihoo Do was born in Seoul, Republic of Korea. He graduated from Seoul National University under Prof. Attila Jun (Kammersänger) and is now. In 2009, he won first prize in the Suwon University competition. He later sang in “Die Zauberflöte” with the Korea National Opera. He won first prize in “The Music Association of Korea” competition and was chosen as a performer in the concert season of “Sunhwa Arts High School,” giving him the opportunity to also perform at the Universal Arts Center and continuously improve as a musician. In 2018, he sang Don Basilio in “Le Nozze di Figaro” and was chosen to sing Luigi in Puccini’s “Il Tabarro” at Seoul National University. He was also chosen as Sueum in “Garden Killer,” the world premiere of the new Korean opera. He won first prize in the “Music Education News Competition.” He was chosen to perform at the Kumho Young Artist and gave a recital at the Kumho Art Hall.
