29 y.o. – Tenor
Korean tenor Hyun Jung Kim studied at Yonsei University with Prof. Moo rim Kang. Since 2020 he has been studying at Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin with KS Prof. Quasthoff. He is a laureate of numerous competitions, including the Pavarotti Competition (2019 – Grand prix), the Korea Voice Competition (2019 – Third Prize), the Suri Competition (2019 – Third Prize). While studying at Yonsei University he was selected as a scholarship holder of Hannover Opernhaus Opera Studio and worked as a tenor soloist in the 2017/18 season. During this time he sang in opera productions at the university, including Rodolfo (LA BOHEME), Nemorino (L’ELISIR D’AMORE), Tamino (THE MAGIC FLUTE), Lysander (A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM).
