Bio

Korean soprano Cindy SeungHyun Kim has been studying at the University Mozarteum Salzburg since 2019, completing her master’s and PGL studies in opera and musical theater in the voice class of Prof. Barbara Bonney and in the opera class of Prof. Kai Röhrig. She completed her undergraduate studies at Seoul National University with Mi-Hye Park. She has received several scholarships at SNU for outstanding academic achievement and was also a scholarship recipient at the Mozarteum University with a scholarship for outstanding foreign students. The opera roles she has sung are “The Queen of the Night” from the opera [The Magic Flute] by W. A. Mozart, “Lu” and “Ritualist” from the opera [Tea: A Mirror of Soul” by Tan Dun, “Lesbia” from the opera [La Critica] by N. Jommelli and more. Starting next winter semester, she will begin her second master’s degree in Lied and Oratorio with Prof. Elisabeth Wille and Prof. Pauliina Tukiainen.
