Bio

The Armenian soprano Marianna Martirosyan began as a pianist at the Stepanakert Sayat-Nova Music College, and at the age of 13 , she began vocal studies. In 2015 she completed her vocal studies at the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan. In 2015-16 was a member of the Young Artists Program of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia. Ms.Martirosyan has had the pleasure of working with Dmitriy Vdovin,Macvala Kasrashvili, Brenda Hurley, Hedwig Fassbender, Ernesto Palasio,Alessandro Amoretti, Giulio Zappa , Michael Paul, Barbara Frittoli, Dale Fundling, Cheryl Studer, Anna Samuil, Jochen Kupfer. In 2020 she began her Master studies at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg with Prof. Cheryl Studer and Prof. J.Kupfer. In the past 5 years , Marianna has participated in various concerts throughout Armenia, Russia, North Korea, Germany. The highlight of her career includes RA President Prize in the category of Vocal Arts of classical music, third prize at the 1st Pyongyang International Vocal Competition in North Korea, golden medal in the Youth Delphic Games in Russia, and Special Prize and diploma at the 13th Aram Khachaturian International Competition in Armenia. In Oktober 2021 she was a finalist in the Montserrat Caballé International Singing Competition. And in July 2022 she received the special award of the Opera of the Croatian National Theatre in Rijeka at the Fourth “Zinka Milanov ” International Competition of Young Opera Singers.
