Mayaka Nakagawa Born in 1993 in Aichi, Japan. Mayaka Nakagawa began her piano study at the age of 6. She won the numerous prizes in domestic and also in international piano competitions; PTNA Piano Competition (Finalist and Student Jury Special Prize at Grade Superior in 2013 and Silver Prize as well as Oji Hall Special Award at Grade Superior in 2014), the 1st Prize at FAZIOLI online piano competition, and the 1st Prize at Campillos International Piano Competition. International Chopin Piano Competition in Asia (Gold Prize at High School Category and Bronze Prize at Professional Category), Gold Prize at the 1st Ishikawa International Piano Competition, and 17th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition 2nd stage diploma. She graduated from Tokyo College of Music as a Special Selected Scholarship Student, and she currently studies at the International Imola Piano Academy in Italy with Mo.Leonid Margarius. She is also a Special Scholarship Student of Yamaha Music Foundation from 2014.
