Mi Kyung Kim began piano studies at the age of five, eventually entering the Seoul National University. She later undertake further studies at the Juilliard School of Music and New York University.
Since her debut in New York in 1992, she has widened her stage globally.
By now she was invited to give concerts at Carnegie Hall in NY, Beijing Concert Hall in China, Tchaikowsky Hall in Moscow as well as to play with NY Metropolitan Orchestra,Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Taipei Symphony, Orchestra, Radio Brno Philharmonic, Moscow Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Mozart Orchestra, Prague Symphony Orchestra.
She is the busiest musician who is regularly invited to various international piano competitions and master classes in Bolzano in Italy,Salt Lake in U.S.A, Epinal in France so on.
In 2002, the International Piano Academy Lake Como invited her to be the Vice President & Professor. Until 2014 she has been a faculty member at Hanover Music Hochschule in Germany.
Now her activity as a composer enriches her life as a international musician. Recitals include her works and her symphonies are invited to play globally by world renowned orchestras.
She established MK Institute of Piano in Seoul recently.
