Bio

Korean soprano, Hyerin Park was born in Changwon and began her artistic education at the age of six with piano and ballet. Aged eleven she won the grand prize of the Changwon Ballet Competition and received her initial singing training as a member of the Changwon Children’s Choir. Park holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Sungshin Women’s University and a Masters of Music in vocal performance from the College for Church Music in Heidelberg, Germany. Since 2020 she continues to hone her vocal skills from the university of music and performing arts in Germany under the tutelage of Prof. Stefanie Krahnenfeld. In 2022 Park received awards from the 31st ‘Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg’ International Singing Competition and performed in their series of summer Opera Gala with the Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt und the baton of Azis Sadikovic. She was invited to the Final Rounds of the 40th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition and in July will compete in the ‘Concorso Lirico Internazionale di Portofino’ in Italy. Park has trained in the Art Song Class of Prof. David Santos in Mannheim and Lied Masterclass of Prof. Hartmutt Höll in Finland. She is the recipient of the Sungshin Scholarship, was the holder of the 2020/21 Siemens Foundation Scholarship and for the 2022/23 season she has been selected as a scholarship holder from Yehudi Menuhin ‘Live Music Now’ Rhein-Neckar.
