Takeshi Shimozato born in Okinawa, Japan, began studying piano from the age of 10. In 2013, he entered Ueno Gakuen University as a scholarship student and graduated with honors in 2017. In the same year he has performed for the royal family of Japan. He has won several awards in piano competitions such as Jacopo Napoli Piano Competition (1st overall prize), 1st Lazar Berman International Piano Competition (2nd prize), 27th Epinal International Piano Competition (3rd prize and audience prize), Andrea Baldi International Piano Competition (1st prize) , 4th Sarzana International Piano Competition (1st prize). He performs concerts both as a soloist and with orchestra. Takeshi Shimozato is currently studying with Maestro Leonid Margarius at the Accademia pianistica di Imola.
