SANGEUP SON

The South Korean tenor SangEup Son is currently pursuing an MA in Opera at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, after graduating from the Korea National University of Arts. He has performed leading roles such as Rodolfo in La bohème, Werther, Alfredo in La traviata, and Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia in productions in Seoul and London. His recent engagements include Alfred in Die Fledermaus and Henry Crawford in Mansfield Park. An alumnus of the Georg Solti Accademia and the Opera de Baugé Festival, he won First Prize at the Soori Music Competition and Second Prize at the Joongang Music Competition.
