SEONGWON KIM

The Korean bass Seongwon Kim is currently in his first year at the Conservatorio di Musica “Arrigo Boito” in Parma, Italy, having previously earned his bachelor’s degree from Hansei University in South Korea. He has performed at the Teatro Regio di Parma as Don Magnifico in La Cenerentola (May 2024) and Don Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia (January 2024) as part of the Imparolopera program. He has won numerous awards in international competitions, including first prizes at the Franco Ghitti International Competition (2024) and the Gaetano Zinetti International Competition (2023), as well as several second and third prizes at competitions such as the Città di Alcamo International Competition (2025), the Premio Koliqi (2025), and the Valsesia Musica Competition (2024).
