YEWON KIM

 

The Korean mezzo-soprano Yewon Kim earned her bachelor’s degree at Pusan National University and moved to Germany in 2020 for her master’s in opera at the Hochschule für Musik Dresden. She continued her Konzertexamen in Detmold and, since 2024, at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg. She has performed as Bradamante (Alcina), Romeo (I Capuleti e i Montecchi), and Carmen. Since 2024, she is a member of the Opera Studio at Theater Freiburg, appearing in productions including Pique Dame, Die Zauberflöte, and Jenůfa.
