Yilei Hao was born in China in 1996, and started to learn piano at the age of 5. As the first Asian pianist who won the 1st prize of ‘Giorgos Thymis’ International Piano Competition, he performed in different countries, (USA, UK, France, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Denmark etc.).
He also played with many well-known orchestra all over the world, (Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Torun Symphony Orchestra, Budapest Dohnanyi Orchestra, Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, China Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra etc.).
He won the 1st prize at ‘James Mottram’ International Piano Competition in the Royal Northern College of Music when he was 16 years old.
He also did well in the best two international music events in China: Shanghai International Piano Competition and Shenzhen International Piano Concerto Competition.
In 2017, he won the ‘China Golden Bell Award’ hosted by the Chinese Government.
Currently, he is studying at China Central Conservatory of Music.
