Ziyu Liu, born in 1998, has been described as «a piano poet with infinite virtuosity and power most sensitive and feelingful touch» by “Coburger Tageblatt” in Germany.
In 2019, he won the 1st prize and the best Beethoven Concerto prize at the 29th Città di Cantù International Piano & Orchestra Competition, and the 1st prize at the 1st Singapore International Piano Competition.
He performed in many countries including China, Germany, France, Netherlands, Sweden, Italy, Austria, Singapore and in many major international concert halls, such as the National Centre for the Performing Arts (Beijing), Shanghai Concert Hall, Shandong Grand Theatre, Weimarhalle, etc.
Liu began his musical education at the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School in China, where he studied in the class of Prof. Ling Yuan. He is now studying in the class of Prof. Arie Vardi at the Hochschule für Musik,Theater und Medien Hannover.
