SUNAH KIM

Sunah Kim was born in South Korea in 2001. She attended the Yewon Arts School and Seoul Arts High School in Korea. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree from the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, she is currently pursuing her Master’s degree under the guidance of Professor Pavel Gililov. She has won prizes in numerous international and national competitions, including the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians, the International Franz Liszt Competition for Young Pianists (2017), second prize at the 10th Johann Nepomuk Hummel International Piano Competition, the Robert Schumann Competition in Düsseldorf, first prize at the Orbetello Junior Piano Competition (2021), second prize and the young jury prize at the 5th Zhuhai Mozart Competition (2023), and second prize at the 3rd Classic Piano Competition in Dubai (2024). Additionally, in 2025, she was selected as one of the eight finalists in the Liszt Utrecht 2026 competition and won the Michelangeli Prize at the Eppan Piano Academy 2025. She has performed in solo recitals at the Kumho Prodigy Concert, Yamaha Little Pianist Series, Elim Art Center Sunday Concert, Soirée Musicale des Arenes in Paris, Night of Rising Player Recital, and the Ceramic Palace Hall Prodigy Concert. Her orchestral and festival appearances include the Spring Festival Concert with LG in New York (Lincoln Center), the Samick-Seiler Winners Concert, the Little Mozart Concert, the EuroAsia Music Festival, and the DMZ International Music Festival with the Prime Philharmonic Orchestra. She was honored to be selected as a scholarship recipient of the Song Gang Foundation from 2016 to 2025 and as a scholarship student of the 24/25 Musikakademie Liechtenstein.
