Accommodation in Vercelli

 

Competitors will be able to stay free of charge in Vercelli with host families, in rooms offered by the City of Vercelli at the Vallotti School guesthouse, and at their own expense in city hotels or B&Bs.

 

Visa

 

Any applicants requiring a visa must indicate this on the application form. The Competition’s Office will send the Italian diplomatic representation in their Country a letter of invitation.

 

Rehearsal on stage

 

Please refer to the Secretary’s office at your arrival to fix your rehearsal on stage before the first round.

 

Practice facilities

 

During the Competition candidates can practice in rooms with piano at Teatro Civico and at Vallotti Music School.

 

Prize ceremony

 

The prize ceremony will be delivered on the stage of Teatro Civico at the end of the Jury’s decisions during the final.

How to reach Vercelli

 

If you arrive by plane:

 

  • Milan Malpensa Airport: shuttle bus to Novara railway station; Novara-Vercelli train. Alternatively: train Milano Malpensa-Milano Centrale and then Milano Centrale-Vercelli
  • Milan Linate Airport: shuttle bus to Milan Central Station; Milan Central Station-Vercelli train
  • Turin Caselle Airport: shuttle bus to Turin Porta Nuova or Turin Porta Susa railway station; Turin-Vercelli train
  • Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport: shuttle bus to Milano Centrale station; Milan Central-Vercelli train

 

If you arrive by train:

 

Vercelli railway station is on the Turin-Milan-Venice and Vercelli-Pavia routes.

 

If you arrive by car:

 

Vercelli is served by A26 motorway and has two exits: Vercelli Ovest and Vercelli Est.
