JOOYEON KA

 

Jooyeon Ka is a winner of numerous international competitions, including the Premio Jaén International Piano Competition in Spain, ZF-Musikpreis International Competition and Troisdorf International Piano Competition in Germany, New York International Piano Competition in USA, Henle Piano Competition, and International Chopin Piano Competition in Asia. She has performed with orchestras such as the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra and the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, and has appeared at renowned venues including the Seoul Arts Center, Mozarthaus Vienna, and Thürmer-Saal, as well as at festivals and concert series throughout Europe and Asia, with performances in Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Korea, China, and Japan. She studied with Yungwook Yoo, Eunjoo Heo, and Minja Shin in Korea, and Jacques Rouvier at Mozarteum University Salzburg, and is currently studying with Björn Lehmann at Berlin University of the Arts. She has appeared on KBS Classic FM, received the Korean Minister of Culture Award, and recorded upcoming releases for the Naxos label.
