AYUMU IBARAKI
Ayumu Ibaraki studied at Tokyo College of Music, completing both his undergraduate and master’s studies there. He won First Prize at the 67th Jaén International Piano Competition, along with the Romantic Music Prize for his interpretation of a Romantic solo work in the semifinal round. He has received prizes at numerous other competitions, including Third Prize at the 2nd Shigeru Kawai International Piano Competition, Third Prize in the piano category of the 17th Tokyo Music Competition, and Second Prize at the 7th Minoru Nojima Yokosuka Piano Competition. As a recitalist, he has appeared at venues and festivals including Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, the Chopin Festival 2019 in Omotesando, and the Galuppi Festival at Teatro La Fenice in Venice. He has studied with Hironao Suzuki, Kazune Shimizu, Satoshi Gogami, Mizuho Nakada, and Minoru Nojima. He is currently continuing his studies at Hochschule Luzern Musik, in the class of Benjamin Moser.
