GEONHEE LEE

 

Geonhee Lee was born on August 9, 2001. From 2008 to 2010 he studied at the Music Academy of the Seoul Art Center and from 2011 to 2020 he trained at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the Hanover University of Music, Theatre and Media under Ewa Kupiec, where he is pursuing his Master’s degree with Kupiec and Paul Lewis. Lee has won numerous international prizes, including 1st Prize at the Brahms Piano Competition, the Jenö Takacs Competition, the Smetana Competition, the Peter Toperczer Competition, the Bela Bartok Competition, and the “Spanish Composers” International Piano Competition (2025). He also received 2nd Prize at the Liszt Competition in Seoul and 3rd Prize at the Euregio Piano Award. He has performed with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra at the Berlin Philharmonie and the Slovak State Philharmonic Kosice, giving solo recitals in Austria, Korea, Germany, and the Netherlands.
