Yi-Chen Chan - Concorso Viotti

YI-CHEN CHAN

Yi-Chen Chan, born in Taiwan in 2000, began learning the piano at the age of five. She is currently pursuing the Konzertexamen at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold with Jacob Leuschner, having completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover under Alexander Schimpf, and previously studying with Chun-Chieh Yen in Taiwan. She has won first prizes in numerous competitions in Taiwan, was a semi-finalist in the 2023 James Mottram International Piano Competition in Manchester, and was selected for the Glocal Piano Project of the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition in 2022 and 2024. Her concert appearances span Germany, England, France, Italy, and Taiwan, alongside participation in festivals such as the Euro Music Festival & Academy, the International Maestro Piano Festival, and the NTUE Piano Festival.
