HAYOUNG KIM

Hayoung Kim was born in South Korea in 2001. He has won numerous piano competitions, including first prize at the Music Eduventure International Piano Competition and the Ewha Competition, the Nelson Freire Award for the Best Performer of a Chopin Work at the Vigo International Piano Competition, and second prize (without first) at the Troisdorf International Piano Competition. He has performed in venues across Korea and Europe, such as the Kukje Art Hall, Frugio Art Hall, Haus Marteau Konzertsaal, Steingraeber Haus in Bayreuth, Schloss Melschede, Salle Cortot in Paris, and the Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Hall, and made his debut at age 10 as a soloist with the Daegu Strings Symphony Orchestra. Since 2012, he has studied piano under Soo Hee Auh. After graduating from Seoul Arts High School in 2020 with the Excellence Award, he completed his Bachelor of Music with Arnulf von Arnim at the Musikhochschule Münster, where he was accepted with the highest score, and is currently pursuing a Master Soloist degree with Christian Petersen at the Universität der Künste Berlin. He has participated in masterclasses with pianists such as Olivier Gardon, Laurent Cabasso, Pascal Devoyon, Billy Eidi, Hervé Billaut, and François Thinat.
