PHILIPP HUBERT
Philipp Hubert, born in 2003, began studying piano in 2011 and attended the Precollege of the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg under Ulrike Goldbeck from 2014 and Professor Bernd Glemser from 2019, before commencing his Bachelor of Arts there in 2021. He also studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest during the 2024–2025 academic year and began conducting studies under Professor Guido Rumstadt at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg in 2025. His awards include second prize at the Bechstein Youth Competition (2015), first prize at the Karel Kunc Competition (2016), first prizes at the national Jugend Musiziert competition (2017 and 2018), the Münster Classics Prize (2017), second prize at the International Youth Competition in Essen (2018), second prize at the Clavis Competition (2021), first prize at the Fischer Flach Competition (2022), a Yamaha Scholarship (2024), the Zoltán Kocsis Prize (2025), and being a finalist at the 2026 Preisner Scoring Competition. He has participated in masterclasses with professors Ilya Gruzman, Igor Levit, Markus Schimpf, Mikhail Margulis, and Assaf Zivan, and holds scholarships from the German Studienstiftung and Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now.
