YUTO TAKEZAWA

 

Yuto Takezawa was born in Sapporo, Japan, in 1997 and began playing the piano at age four. After graduating from the Toho Gakuen School of Music, he moved to Germany and is pursuing a Master’s degree at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen under Hisako Kawamura. He won second prize, the Schumann Prize, the Beethoven-Haus Prize, and the Audience Award at the International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn (2019), second prize and the Audience Award at the Ettore Pozzoli International Piano Competition (2021), first prize at the Köhler-Osbahr Competition (2025), second prize at the Accordi Musicali Academy Piano Competition (2025), and third prize at the Alessandro Casagrande International Piano Competition (2025).
