DANIEL GWON

The baritone Daniel Gwon is a prizewinner of numerous prestigious international singing competitions, including first prize at the “Jole De Maria” International Opera Competition (2025), the Iris Adami Corradetti Competition (2024), the Salvatore Licitra Competition (2022), and the Competizione dell’Opera (2022). In 2023, he was a finalist and special prize winner at the renowned Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels. In the 2024-2025 season, he debuted as Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Landestheater Coburg. Previously, he was a member of the opera studio at Landestheater Detmold, performing roles such as Ping in Turandot and Nathanael in Les contes d’Hoffmann. He began his operatic career in Korea, singing Malatesta (Don Pasquale) and Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro). He holds a bachelor’s degree from Korea and a master’s degree from Germany, where he is currently pursuing further studies.
