ERNESTO PALACIO

The Peruvian tenor, Ernesto Palacio, was one of the foremost tenore di grazia of his generation, acclaimed for his interpretations in the bel canto, particularly Rossini and Mozart repertoire. He performed in major international theaters, including Teatro alla Scala and the Metropolitan Opera, under the direction of leading conductors. After concluding his singing career, he distinguished himself as an artistic manager and teacher. Since 2016, he has served as Artistic Director of the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, where he has been Superintendent since 2017, and is considered one of the foremost international experts on Rossini’s vocalism.
