PIANO 2023: Competitor

 

Winner of the third prize at the ‘International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn’ and the first prize at the ‘R. Schumann Competition Düsseldorf’, Giorgio Lazzari has already performed both as a soloist and chamber musician in several European cities, gaining critical acclaim. He has taken part in prestigious festivals such as Klavier-Festival Ruhr, Festival d’Aix en Provence, Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Düsseldorf Schumannfest, International Piano Festival of Brescia and Bergamo, Milano Musica, Accademia Filarmonica Romana, Perugia Musica Classica, G.I.A Brescia, Bonner Schumannfest, Musica Insieme Bologna, Rondò di Divertimento Ensemble, Harmonies en Livradois. Very active in chamber music, he plays regularly in duo with violinist S. Manvati. Stimulated by his studies with M. G. Bellocchio, he has developed a particular interest in the contemporary repertoire, having the opportunity to confront and collaborate with composers such as S. Gervasoni, A. Solbiati and O. Cuendet. He graduated with full marks, honours and mention at the Conservatorio G. Donizetti, and is currently continuing his training with K. Gerstein at the H. Eisler HfM in Berlin; he is also supported by a scholarship from the Internationale Musikakademie in Liechtenstein and the Roscini – Padalino Prize from the Perugia Musica Classica Foundation.
