KUAN-WEI CHEN

 

Kuan-Wei Chen completed his Master’s degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and is currently pursuing postgraduate studies with Prof. Anna Malikova. He previously studied with Prof. Konrad Maria Engel at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin. In 2025, he was a finalist of the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition, won 1st Prize and the Paderewski Prize at the Rosario Marciano International Piano Competition, and received 5th Prize and the Special Prize for the Best Interpretation of a Catalan Composer at the Maria Canals International Piano Competition. Previous distinctions include 1st Prize at the Giovanni Colafemmina (2024) and Radovljica (2023) competitions. He has performed with the Orchestre de Picardie, Orchestra Filarmonica Pugliese, and Orchestra da Camera del Friuli Venezia Giulia.
