NAYEON GU
Nayeon Gu, a twenty-four-year-old pianist from Seoul, South Korea, began her piano journey at the age of five. She pursued her education at Yewon School, Seoul Art High School, and the New England Conservatory of Music for her undergraduate studies, where she studied with Haesun Paik. Currently, she is pursuing the Artist Diploma program at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music under the guidance of Sofya Gulyak, on a full scholarship while serving as an Associate Instructor in the Piano Department. She made her solo debut at Kumho Art Hall in Seoul and has performed at prestigious venues including the LG Spring Festival at Lincoln Center in New York, the New Paltz Piano Summer Festival, and the Rebecca Penneys Piano Festival. Her achievements include winning second prize at the Chicago International Piano Competition and third prize at the Lancaster International Piano Competition.
