PIANO 2023: Competitor

 

Nejc Kamplet completed his piano studies with Saša G. Donaldson, Zuzana Niederdorfer (University for music Graz) and Arie Vardi (HMTM Hannover) recently. He worked additionally with Grigory Gruzman, Jacques Rouvier, Boris Berman, Daejin Kim, Mikhail Voskresensky, Sofya Gulyak, Ian Hobson, Andrea Bonatta, Ruben Dalibaltayan, Pavel Gililov, Arbo Valdma, Robert Levin and others. Nejc performed as a soloist with the Meiningen Court Orchestra, Slovenian Philharmonic, Graz Philharmonic, Harbin Philharmonic, Wuhan Philharmonic, Slovak Sinfonietta, SNG Maribor Symphonic Orchestra, Banska-Bystrica State Orchestra, collaborating with conductors Pawel Przytocki, Harish Shankar, Jiao Yang, Wolfgang Harrer, Jin Hyoun Baek, Taejung Lee, Benjamin Pionnier, Živa P. Peršuh, Marcus Merkel and Igor Bulla. He also played solo recitals in various festivals throughout Europe, China, Japan and USA. He won top prizes in the numerous piano competitions including 2nd prizes in the 4th Hans von Bülow piano competition (additional prize for the best interpretation of a work by L. van Beethoven), 16th Ettlingen competition and 9th New York “Stecher & Horowitz” international piano competition; 1st prizes in the “Hildegard Maschmann Stiftung” piano competition in Vienna, “Martha Debelli” in Graz. His live recordings are regularly broadcasted in the Slovenian National Television.
