SHUHEI AOSHIMA
Shuhei Aoshima maintains an active international career across France, Belgium, and Japan. He has earned top distinctions at prestigious competitions, including the 13th Paderewski, 5th Takamatsu, and 2nd Shigeru Kawai International Piano Competitions. As a soloist, he has performed with major orchestras, including the Tokyo City Philharmonic, Kanagawa Philharmonic, Seto Philharmonic, and the Tokyo University of the Arts Philharmonic. He is also a regular guest at international festivals and concert series, such as La Folle Journée, Kawai Konzerte in Germany, Klaviersommer, and the Kawai Chopin Festival. A graduate of the Tokyo University of the Arts (Geidai) High School and University, he earned a Master’s in Piano and a Bachelor’s in Accompaniment from the Conservatoire de Paris (CNSMDP), both with the highest honors. He is currently an Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel. His musical development has been shaped by prominent mentors, including Frank Braley, Avo Kouyoumdjian, Haruko Ueda, Susumu Aoyagi, and Yukio Yokoyama.
