WANQIAO MU

 

Wanqiao Mu, born in Harbin on September 24, 2001, is a Chinese pianist whose musical education has taken place entirely at the Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) and its affiliated institutions. After entering the Affiliated Primary School of CCOM in 2011 with first place, she completed her middle school studies there from 2014 to 2020 and earned her undergraduate degree in piano performance from CCOM between 2021 and 2025, leading to her admission without examination to CCOM’s postgraduate piano performance program in 2025. As a Schimmel Artist, she has performed across China, including charity concerts in Hebei Province in 2023, a solo recital at the Beijing Zhongshan Concert Hall in 2022, and a collaboration with the Cross-Strait Youth Symphony Orchestra on Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 at the 2021 Fujian Art Festival. She has worked with pedagogues such as Pavlina Dokovska, Christopher Elton, and Bernd Goetzke. Her competition awards include second prize at the 27th Mauro Paolo Monopoli International Piano Competition in 2024, first prize at the 1st Schimmel National Youth Piano Competition in 2023, and second prize at Beijing TV’s “Future Musicians” Piano Competition in 2023.
