YOUNG-HO SHIN

 

Young-Ho Shin, a 19-year-old pianist from South Korea, debuted at the Kumho Art Hall at the age of 14. Recognized as a rising international star, he was the youngest laureate ever at the Dublin International Piano Competition, where he won second prize in 2025, and he also earned a special prize at the Vladigerov Competition, alongside achievements at the Rubinstein, Hamamatsu, Sendai, and Tokyo competitions. He has performed as a soloist with the Korean National Symphony Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, following his orchestral debut at 15 with Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto. His career spans recitals and chamber music performances across Germany, Japan, Ireland, the United States, and China. A recipient of the Chung Mong-Koo scholarship, he studied with Soo-Jung Shin and Jung-Soon Yoon, and In October 2026, he joins the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris to study with Rena Shereshevskaya.
