YUYA NISHIMOTO

 

Yuya Nishimoto is studying for a master’s degree at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. He graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. He won first prize unanimously at the Épinal International Piano Competition in France (2025) and received the Contemporary Music Prize. He also won first prize at the Kościuszko Foundation Chopin Piano Competition in the United States (2024) and the Antonin Chopin International Piano Competition in Poland (2026), as well as fourth prize at the Takamatsu International Piano Competition (2023). He has performed with the Orchestre National de Metz Grand Est, the National Philharmonic, the Karol Szymanowski Orchestra, and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, among others, and has appeared at major halls in Paris (UNESCO conference hall), Épinal, Washington, D.C., and Warsaw.
